Christmas Time: Hope
So, as we now in Advent for 24 hours or so, I thought it’d be good to talk about that. I realize that the second week of Advent is all about Light, and the first week is Hope, but it was easier to find a photo of lights – at least I used Hope in my title
What is better than getting something? What is cooler than the “moment of knowing”? What is more thrilling than the “pay-off” – but the hope & expectation of that “pay-off”. In reality though, is it always “thrilling” - living in constant hope or being hopeful, can be draining and our hope can get tested and there are moments we can all feel hopeless. So, Hope is something we need to have, and work at. Why do we stay hopeful, in the face of such “dire” circumstances?
