So, my youngest son has been waiting for a follow-up appointment at Sick Kids in Toronto. It was cancelled while we were Enroute to TO for that appointment. That is the 2nd time we’ve had this specialist need to cancel us the morning of – yep, twice in 6 months. I really like, respect and value this specialist – but I guess I am I still wondering if doctors are allowed to “be sick”? Read the rest of this entry »

Prayer: Do you do it?
I love prayer. Why? Well, to be perfectly honest, I need to be connected with God. But, to continue my honesty, I find it tough to pray as often as I should. There is always a really big list of things to pray about – how do I possibly find time to pray for ALL of it? Truth: I don’t. I merely approach prayer in an organized fashion. Here is an un-official Top 10 Things to Practice In Prayer: Read the rest of this entry »
If I Am The Leader – Who Do I Serve?
Makes you think, doesn’t it? I get comments all the time. Comments like, “Well, it’s your job to find the volunteers…it’s your job to play in the band if we are short a person…it’s your job to be really good musically…it’s your job to be prepared at rehearsal and know what’s going on… Etc etc.”

The world according to my cat
Well – after years of saying that the only way I’d end up having a cat is by dying and ending up in Hell (which is where I was convinced all cats would be) our family got a cat – Rory- on Friday. And you know what? I’m already learning from the cat. Here’s 5 things Rory has already taught me.
1. Be patient – he waits….and waits…. For the exact moment, then seizes it.
2. Have faith – what is the alternative? He isn’t able to do much else than believe we will be there the next day.
3. Take a nap – you’ll feel better. Enough said.
4. Quality time with family is super good. Doesn’t get any better.
5. Don’t bother me when I’m eating. Be “all” there at what you’re doing.
Cats seem to be a whole lot better than I originally gave them credit for.
I love Rory. I can honestly say that. Now I wonder if pets end up in heaven
