We have spent many days at Sick Kids with our oldest, and I remember the long days there. It is an amazing place.Unfortunately, there are not enough doctors to go around as it is, and when one is sick, there is no-one to fill in. Specialists are very few and far between, not only in pediatrics, but in every specialty.
Every time I am tempted to complain about our health care system, I remember the situation for most people in our world. My brother and his family lived in Kyrgystan on the mission field. In the town they lived in, the nearest doctor dentist was a 4 hour drive away. Prenatal care for my sister-in-law consisted of having her blood pressure taken by a fellow Canadian missionary, who happened to be a nurse, who lived hours away. And the situation was even worse when they were on the mission field in Bandeh Aceh, Indonesia, following the tsunami. It just gives me a little perspective on how fortunate we really are.

Thanks for your comment - I have thought of both of those before. We used Dust in The Wind @ Lakeside close to 7 years ago - I remember, since I played it :-)
Good suggestions.

Thanks for your comment. It is monumental for me - as my first comment in almost 1.5 years of blogging :-). I am glad you liked the post - I get very passionate about worship and I get very bent out of shape when people reduce worship to a music-style or sub-culture
